U.S. Navy ships move closer to Lebanon

The U.S. moved Navy ships off the cost of Lebanon. Officials won't say why. It could be because they is a lot of tension over there. Or it could be about Lebanon still not having a President. But some think that it is to show other countries around Lebanon that we care. Who nose what is going to happen. There is so much tension a fighting in the middle east its scary.

Mars

NASA sent a space to mars and it is getting ready to land. The Phoenix will study the Martin atmosphere and the soil to see if they is any frozen water. I think that us exploring more and more is a good thing and not a wast of time. It kind of brings the country together.

NASA

Nasa is planing to go back to the moon by 2020 and set up a station. They are currently testing it out in Antarctica. Antatcticas harsh conditions will make sure that the station will be ready. This is cool cause we have not been to the moon in a while. Did you "To land one pound of supplies on the lunar surface, it'll require us to launch 125 pounds of hardware and fuel to get it there," Thats a lot.

The Kingdom

This movie was about terrorists in the middle east over oil. I give it a 10. Due to the fact that there was a ton of action and it gives insight into different worlds.

Media

The media has played a major role in the coming election. There have been new techniques used that I have noticed. Mostly on youtube. It has helped by winning the younger vote.

Should Teachers be Paid More Money

Teachers are responsible to educate our future generation, but they are among the lowest paid college graduates. Teachers must also earn a Master's Degree after teaching so long. They must pay for this degree out of their own money. Other industries will cover university expensives for their employees. Teachers also do not get time and a half when they work late. Most good teachers stay after school and help students with what ever they need. They don't get bonuses for doing this. Of course, not all teachers stay and help students but the ones who care do. Teachers even have to take extra courses after they become teachers. With all this schooling they should be paid more.

How to help high schoolers not be so fat

I am a senior in high school and every year it seems that kids are getting fatter and fatter. The youth in America are very unhealthy and do not exercise. I think we have a problem. How do we get kids involved in exercising? One idea is that we could offer a Physical Education credit for participating in a sport. This will get kids more involed in their high school and free up a class course so they make study a different subject during that period. If a student participates in a sport they would develop more friendships and hopefully prepare themselves more for whatever they strive to do in college. The one main point I am trying to make is that something new needs to be tried to push the majority of American students into better fitness.
